#FuelForTheLongHaul kicked off this week in Times Square thanks to Nasdaq! It takes everybody to advance #sustainableaviation, join us for the ride ✈ "Aviation sits at the center of the global supply chain and holds the power to connect each of us with our customers and loved ones. Innovation, connection, and education are at the heart of the 'Fuel for the Long Haul' campaign, and E-Jet® fuel represents more than just a product. It symbolizes our larger commitment to creating a fossil-free future made possible by the incredible potential of carbon transformation technology. This campaign is about celebrating our milestones and, more urgently, rallying industry and everyday travelers alike to join us in this critical mission." - Nicholas Flanders, CEO Twelve #sustainableaviation #decarbonizeaviation #sustainableaviationfuel #SAF #eSAF #sustainabletravel #travelandhospitality #aviation #jetfuel #emissions #CDR #PowertoLiquid #eSAF #CO2electrolysis #CO2toproducts #CO2removal #carbontransformation #CO2transformation #sustainableflight #climatetech #deeptech #science #electrochemistry #engineering #climatesolutions #futureproof #supplychain #supplychaintransformation #future #flight #travel #scope3 #emissions #scope1 #innovation #deeptech #jetset #nyc #airlines #airtravel

3wThis is very good to see, and your technology is likely to be a key part of decarbonising aviation. The elephant in the room for e-fuels, though, is the energy requirement. How much energy do you require to make a ton of e-fuel, and how are we going to put that much new renewable generation in place *in addition to* all the new renewable generation we already have to put in place to decarbonise other sectors? I’m not saying that it can’t be done, and I am a supporter of e-fuels for aviation too, but I think that we have to be able to tell the whole “well to wake” story including how we’ll produce enough power for power-to-liquid.
