The position requires a combination of education and experience in computer vision, computer graphics, robotics and machine learning.
Research Engineer, Digital Humans Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute cutting-edge research to advance the state of the art in digital humans and avatars.
  • Develop new advanced technologies related to the generation of realistic digital humans, like differentiable physics-based simulation and rendering techniques, human biophysical models, or generative AI.
  • Formulation of new machine learning, analysis, and simulation approaches for digital humans.
  • Collaborate with other researchers, engineers and 3D artists to prototype hardware and software solutions, experiments and concepts that advance the entire project.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • PhD in the field of Computer Graphics, Computer Science, Mathematics or Machine Learning with a proven academic or equivalent industrial track-record.
  • 4+ years of experience in realistic character generation: 3D human shape and pose capture, dynamic model reconstruction, facial performance capture, photorealistic differential rendering and relighting, motion synthesis and retargeting, physics-based simulation, or generative AI models.
  • Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as publications at leading conferences (e.g., SIGGRAPH, CVPR, ECCV and ICCV, NIPS, ICLR, ICML) or journals (e.g., TOG, PAMI, IJCV, JMLR).
