As a Graphics Software Engineer at Meta, you can help build new, innovative devices and software that radically redefine the way people work, play and connect. We may not have all the answers. But together, we're getting closer. You will design, build and test graphics features for AR, VR, and new platforms. In this role, you will participate in the definition of architecture and implementation of designs in both prototype and shipping consumer products as well as demonstrate good development practices and seamless collaboration.
Software Engineer, Graphics (University Grad) Responsibilities
  • Design and implement components and features for the graphics compositor for shipping Quest products and unannounced future devices.
  • Debug complex, multi-component issues.
  • Profile performance problems and drive optimizations that span the entire software stack.
  • Work across functional teams, program managers, and product managers to ship features that ultimately create awesome user experiences.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
  • Experience working with C/C++
  • Experience in graphics programming. OpenGL, Vulkan, Direct 3D, Metal, etc.
  • Working knowledge of graphics fundamentals such as ray tracing, rasterization and linear algebra
  • Experience in developing software in team environments working with version control and CI pipelines
  • Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
  • Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Currently has, or in the process of obtaining a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
  • Experience implementing 3D graphics features such as lighting, effects, shaders and other low-level systems
  • Experience working with VR, MR, or AR devices inclusive of developing hardware or apps.
  • Experience working in mobile development working in Android

$56.25/hour to $137,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
