As an Electrical Engineering Manager in the Smart Glasses organization, you will lead a team in the design and execution of our next generation devices. This role will focus on guiding career growth; establishing and tracking goals; priorities and resources across a portfolio of short- mid- and long-term projects. We want people who: work well in teams, can brainstorm big ideas, work in new technology areas, able to drive programs from a concept into a shipping consumer product.
Manager, Electrical Engineering Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of Electrical Engineers responsible for consumer electronics product development to drive products from pre-prototype to production.
  • Identify key roles required for team success and recruit top engineering talent.
  • Manage a wide variety of stakeholders while leading process definition for your team.
  • Help incubate new technologies into research prototypes.
  • Perform architecture and design reviews to ensure hardware quality.
  • Work with cross-functional engineering managers and architects on hardware and software integration.
  • Champion of engineering rigor in phase gate development. Create specs and measurable metrics of success to deliver to these requirements.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 15%.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
  • 7+ years as a hardware leader in a cross functional organization.
  • 10+ years of direct experience in electrical design of low power SOC based devices.
  • Experience working with offshore partners.
  • Communication experience, with experience working with Product Design engineers and other hardware/software cross-functional functions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with audio, sensors, touch, wireless, batteries, and power optimization.
  • Experience developing and shipping wearable devices.

$204,000/year to $281,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
