It randomly capitalizes words as I am writing mid-sentence. This is the only app it happens on, so it's not an issue with my phone or keyboard. I also wish the scroll bar could be turned off. Since it's on my dominant hand side, I bump it often, which sends me to another part of the document. Otherwise, it's nice to be able to easily access Google Docs on my phone. The formatting options are more robust than I expected for an app, and nothing is lost in converting back to the desktop version.

I am in serious doubt that Google docs has a human team supporting it anymore. The "help" email address shown on this listing in the Google play store no longer works. And I'm seeing an error that is getting worse year by year. Google docs app will open a document, and the little plus button suddenly does not show to edit it, and Gboard will not appear. Once this happens to a document, that document is forever uneditable through the Google docs app. You have to edit it on the desktop browser.

Hi Richard. We suggest you clear apps cache on your device: Settings - Apps - Docs - Storage & cache - Clear cache. If that doesn't help, you may post your query in the Docs Community and get help from our experts: https://goo.gle/3o58rPT. Thank you.

My go-to word processor for years — but recently Google seems bent on fixing it til it breaks, to the point where I'm going to need to look for alternatives. Specifically, limiting which font sizes can be selected and auto-formatting bullet points when I type a • character at the beginning of a line are beyond annoying. Not being able to select A5 page size is an issue too, just not a new one. My days of easy word processing on mobile seem to be over, and I'm fuming mad about it.
