Questo saggio cerca di individuarli negli aspetti essenziali, ricostruendo il dialogo di Schulz col contesto immaginativo della propria epoca.
Il focus è sulla rappresentazione dell’infanzia, a partire dai bambini della guerra nati tra gli anni Quaranta e Cinquanta: la generazione dei giochi all’avanguardia, ma anche “un terreno fertile per i semi dell’orrore”, scrisse Stephen King nel ricordare la tensione psicologica e le difficoltà vissute da chi non poteva difendersi dagli orrori della Guerra fredda.
Il filo conduttore dell’opera è il tema della notte, che nei Peanuts fa emergere la genialità delle trovate umoristiche che permisero ai protagonisti del cartoon di superare lo smarrimento e il dolore senza perdere dolcezza e bricconeria.
Ampio spazio anche ai rimandi dei balloon alla letteratura, al cinema, al giornalismo, alla storia dell’arte e soprattutto al fumetto. Una mappa per orientarsi nella sterminata varietà culturale offerta dal tratto a china di Schulz.

I discuss why and how contemporary authors of fairy tales represent situations of storytelling in... more I discuss why and how contemporary authors of fairy tales represent situations of storytelling in their tales. The analysis is based on a close reading of the comic strip Little Lit Folklore and Fairy Tales Funnies by Art Spiegelman and Françoise Mouly. The topic is organized in three main sections: in the first part, Little Lit is considered as a framed story; the second part is focused on the narratological voice of the framed storytellers; and finally, in the third part I expalin their narratological functions.

I shall refer to the public right in fairy tales in light of the contribute of the folkloristic studies about authorship in fairy tales with a specific attention for those scholars who worked on an individual concept of authorship, such as Marke Azadovskij, Linda Dégh, Luz Rörich, R. Wehse and Key Stone. Taking into account legal implications raised by Helle Porsdam's anthology 'Copyright and other Fairy Tales', I will show how legal and scientific issues influenced that heterogeneous group of novels, short stories and children's books which today are known as fairy tales.

One of the most precious goods we get from East is the litereary frame. We can start to observe some functions of the literary frame by beginning with its history, in the Medieval time. In the east countries 'the frame' was a communicative tool to express judges and opinions in public according to different social conditions. In the west countries the frame was used as an occasion to express judges too, but only in the literary world. Eric Auerbach in 'Zur technik der fruhrenaissancenovelle in Italien un Frankreich' says that from Dante to Boccaccio the literary frame becomes the story's atmosphere and its barycentre because it offers to the writers the possibility to organize the relationship between the text and the context. In my ypothesis Auerbach's words can work to introduce a narratological function of the literary frame.
We can notice other two functions of it: an anthropological one explained by Tzvetan Todorov in 'La conquête de l'Amérique' and a psycological one showed by Andrè Jolles in 'De Decameron van Boccaccio'. According to Tzvetan Todorov, in the XVII century missionaries used literary frames to communicate with native Americans: in 'Historia general de las cosas de la Nueva España' by Bernardino de Sahagún a literary frame is used to organize different cultural knowldges. On the other side Andrè Jolles metaphorically says that thanks to literary frames we can still listen to popular narrators' voices because the literary frame reproduces children's typical cognitive structure.
I propose to show these functions in the 'Cunto de li cunti' by Basile. In this way we can observe the modernity of Basile. The Neapolitan author not only founded the fairy tale genre in Europe. He also contributed to spread a universal communicative form which we can observe from three points of view: narratological, anthropological and psycological.

Nella letteratura per l’infanzia, la figura di un’età verso cui fuggire si è spesso completata e ... more Nella letteratura per l’infanzia, la figura di un’età verso cui fuggire si è spesso completata e fusa con un’idea di natura, così come attraverso una tale immagine si è spesso tentato di dare uno spazio alla natura, nella rappresentazione e nella progettazione di un più o meno utopico presente. Se si volessero misurare gli effetti di questo tipo di ‘azione pedagogica’, un ambito privilegiato è la produzione dei paesi del nord europeo, grazie ad un particolare modo di far interagire bambino e natura, il tempo e lo spazio immobili del sogno e le urgenze del presente. Maestro di tutti è stato Andersen e riferimenti moderni sono Astrid Lindgren, Hagerup o Per Olov Enquist, ma tra di loro ci sono due essenziali mediatrici: Selma Lagerlof e soprattutto la troppo dimenticata Karin Michaelis. Interlocutrice di Walter Benjamin e Bertold Brecht, ispirata dalla pedagogia di Genia Swarzwald e influenzata dai movimenti che erano scaturiti nei wandewogel, questa scrittrice ebbe un successo paragonabile a quello di Rawlings fino all’avvento del nazismo e Hitler fece bruciare i suoi libri dopo aver ricevuto il rifiuto a collaborare col Reich. Dall’analisi delle sue opere pubblicate in italiano e in inglese, specialmente dalla serie di “Bibi”, si ricava un denso e complesso programma pedagogico dove la ‘natura’ è presente su molteplici fronti: la sensibilizzazione alla ‘salvaguardia’, specialmente degli animali; il dibattito tra tradizione e modernità; il gioco ai limiti della metanarrazione con i topoi della letteratura del feuilleton e della fiaba; l’educazione al viaggiare; la ricerca di una dimensione autentica di sé.
