Forty-five cases of neonatal subcutaneous gangrene were admitted between Nov. 1985 and Feb. 1987,... more Forty-five cases of neonatal subcutaneous gangrene were admitted between Nov. 1985 and Feb. 1987, with a mortality of 6.6%. lhis paper presents the f i i epidemiologic study of 20 cases of this disease caused by multi-resistant Staphylococcus aunus. Eight of 20 cases were caused by an epidemic strain belonging to phage 29 (p u p I) and carrying 2.8,3.3,4.2 and 28.5-34.0 kb plasmid DNA. m e restriction endonudease analysis confinned that the plm mid DNA of approximately similar size in different isolates were identical or highly homologous. According to the results of an epidemiologic study the source of infection of one patient who died was her grandmother and the other one was her mother, so the family members can also be the source of neonatal infection caused by multi-resistant S. amus.
The genomic organisation of a large Leishmania gene cluster, expressed predominantly in intracell... more The genomic organisation of a large Leishmania gene cluster, expressed predominantly in intracellular, infective parasite stages, has been determined. Using cosmid cloning, parasite DNA fingerprinting, partial digestion and mapping with 'end-specific' probes, the LmcDNA2 gene array has been localised to a 55-kb ClaI fragment within the L. major genome. Six tandemly linked gene copies are transcribed to produce an abundant 6-kb transcript; the seventh and last copy of the cluster is truncated at its 3' end. It is likely that these genes encode one or more proteins specific to infective stages of the parasite life cycle.

方法 培养新生大鼠脑的微血管内皮,星型小胶质和平滑肌细胞,8-异- PGF2α的细胞毒性通过MTT分析和乳酸脱氢酶释放,propidium碘混合和DNA片段化(末端脱氧核苷酸转移酶介导的dUTP缺口末端标记[TUNEL])来测定。另外,确定了室内注射8-异- PGF2α的效果和8-异- PGF2α诱导的细胞毒性可能涉及到血栓烷。
结果 8-异- PGF2α诱导了时间和浓度依赖的内皮细胞死亡(EC50=0.1nmol/L),但对平滑肌和星型小胶质细胞几乎不起作用。内皮细胞死亡绝大多数死于膨胀性质(propidium碘混合和乳酸脱氢酶释放),细胞死亡与内皮血栓烷A2(TXA2)形成增加有关并可被TXA2合成酶抑制剂(CGS12970和U63557A)所预防;TXA2类似物U46619和I-BOP也引起内皮细胞死亡。室内注射8-异- PGF2α诱导室周损伤,但可被CGS12970减弱。
