Flow cytometric evaluation of multidrug-resistance circumvention

Bull Cancer. 1995 Jan;82(2):114-6.

Abstract

Flow cytometry, through the measurement of P-gp expression and function, is an important tool in the characterization of multidrug resistant cell lines used in pharmacology. Furthermore, as a complement to classical in vitro tests, this technique allows rapid evaluation of the capacity of new modulator agents to reverse the resistance to cytotoxic drugs and contributes a deeper insight into the mechanism of action of these new molecules.
