Objective: To develop a method for the identification of Chinese medicinal materials in diffraction space.
Method: Using powder X-ray diffraction analysis to obtain the Fourier spectrum of 10 samples of Cortex Cinnamomi.
Results: The analysis shows that each of the 10 samples has its own Fourier pattern topology and characteristic peaks which are connected with its chemical composition.
Conclusion: Cortex Cinnamomi can be identified successfully according to its topology and characteristic peaks.
