Abstract

The results of a field trial of an electrophoretic method of semen separation (EMC) are reported. The use of this procedure resulted in a slight but statistically significant decrease in conception rates. 10,251 births due to inseminations with separated semen of thirty-seven different bulls were recorded. Changes in the normal sex ratio were not observed.
