Methods: 103 patients with cranial base meningiomas were treated by microsurgery. Tumors of different position were resected by variant transcranial base approaches and the operative methods.

Results: and complications were analyzed retrospectively.

Results: Total removal of Simpson's 1 to 2 grade was performed in 63 patients, subtotal removal in 31 and partial removal in 9. Good postoperative recovery was noted in 75 patients, skull nerve paralysis in 24 and death 4.
