Abstract

Advances were recently observed in the early diagnosis and treatment of epithelial ovarian cancer. Molecular biology, particularly proteomics, seems to offer interesting results concerning the screening of ovarian cancer. The treatment of this tumor is based on surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy. Several studies were recently published concerning the interest and results of para-aortic lymphadenectomy and interval debulking surgery (after neo-adjuvant chemotherapy) in the surgical management of ovarian cancer. Advances in chemotherapy and new drugs will be also studied in this paper.
