The Maquet osteotomy

Orthop Clin North Am. 1992 Oct;23(4):645-56.

Abstract

First proposed in 1963, the Maquet osteotomy can be used successfully for the treatment of selected patients with patellofemoral pain. A strict patient selection process must be used to achieve optimal clinical results. The complication rate can be limited, but not eliminated, by the use of meticulous surgical technique. Further prospective clinical studies, employing both subjective and objective evaluation methods, should be performed to optimize the interpretation of the clinical results.
