New chlorine-containing phenoloid from Curculigo capitulata

J Asian Nat Prod Res. 2004 Mar;6(1):7-10. doi: 10.1080/1028602031000093375.

Abstract

A new chlorine-containing phenoloid, named capitulatin A, has been isolated from the rhizomes of Curculigo capitulata. Its structure was established as 2,4-dichloro-3-methyl-5-hydroxy-6-methoxylphenol-beta-D-xylopyranosyl (1 --> 6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside (1) on the basis of the spectral data and chemical evidence.
