Acute myocardial infarction in a 14-year old boy by thrombotic occlusion of the left main coronary ostium

Int J Cardiol. 2006 Mar 8;107(3):430-1. doi: 10.1016/j.ijcard.2005.02.029.

Abstract

We report the case of a 14-year old boy who was diagnosed with acute myocardial infarction complicated by cardiogenic shock and was treated by primary stenting of thrombotic occluded left main ostium. A prompt stenting to the LMCA saved patient's life. However, his condition was getting worse with the time and the cardiac transplantation could not be avoidable.
