ANZ J Surg. 2007 Jan-Feb;77(1-2):2-3. doi: 10.1111/j.1445-2197.2006.03971.x.

Abstract

Earlier diagnosis of renal cell carcinoma has lent itself to significant developments in its management. Traditional treatment has been with radical open nephrectomy; however, minimal invasive procedures and nephron-sparing surgery have now established themselves as contemporary treatment methods for this condition.
