Intracranial schwannoma of the facial nerve: report of two cases and review of the literature

Abstract

Two cases of intracranial facial schwannoma growing from the labyrinthine portion of the facial nerve are reported. The clinical, pathological and diagnostic features and treatment of these rare lesions are discussed in the light of the most important literature on this topic.
