QT dispersion in patients with acute ischemic stroke who underwent thrombolytic treatment: is it really useful to predict good neuorologic recovery?

Int J Cardiol. 2008 Apr 10;125(2):290-1. doi: 10.1016/j.ijcard.2007.11.027. Epub 2008 Jan 10.

Abstract

In the current study, DeltaQT dispersion (DeltaQTD) was found to be a new predictor of neurologic change which may be potentially useful in prediction of functional recovery in patients with acute cerebrovascular accident treated with thrombolytic treatment. We believe that DeltaQTD might be a new prognostic determiner in patients with acute cerebrovascular accident undergoing thrombolytic treatment. But it is too early to talk about the prognostic significance in patients with acute cerebrovascular accident not undergoing thrombolytic treatment.
