Abstract

This second in a two-part unit on enhanced recovery after colorectal surgery outlines possible complications and how to manage them. Part 1 detailed the components of an enhanced recovery pathway, which enables patients to receive optimal care before, during and after surgery, and can be used in other specialties if necessary.
