[Mini-invasive midface lift with SMAS suspension and subperiosteum suspension]

Abstract

Objective: To investigate a modified midface lift for baggy deformity of low eyelid, zygomatic laxity, periorbital wrinkle and deep nasolabial groove.

Methods: Through the incision at palpebral margin for baggy eyelid, the dissection was performed under the periosteum of midface. The orbicularis oculi and zygomatic major muscles were suspended to lift the midface through the incision at temporal area.

Results: During the recent 5 years, 42 cases were treated with satisfactory results.

Conclusions: The modified midface lift is easily performed with low morbidity and good safety. It is one of the best choices for mini-invasive midface rejuvenation.
