Abstract

Objective: To search pharmacody namic active extracts of Dicliptera chinensis for protecting liver.

Method: Rats cute liver injury model was induced by CCl4 to screen the liver protection of four different fraction extracted from an ethanol extract of D. chinensis.

Result: The n-butanol fraction and water fraction can prevent the increase of the ALT, AST and MDA (P < 0.01, P < 0. 05), and increase the SOD compared to the normal groups (P < 0.05).

Conclusion: The results show that the pharmacody namic active extracts of D. chinensis are the n-butanol and water fractions.
