Magnetic resonance imaging findings in extrauterine malignant mixed Mullerian tumors: report of two cases

J Magn Reson Imaging. 2010 Nov;32(5):1238-41. doi: 10.1002/jmri.22084.

Abstract

This report describes two cases of women who presented with huge abdominal masses. Those lesions were large, invasive, extrauterine masses, which showed inhomogeneous signal intensities at magnetic resonance image (MRI). After work-up and surgery, the masses were identified as extremely rare malignant mixed Mullerian tumors that did not originate from the uterus. We have focused on the MRI findings of the tumors, with a review of the literature.
