Xeroderma pigmentosum: a nursing perspective

Abstract

Xeroderma pigmentosum is a rare disorder manifested by high rates of skin cancer due to abnormal repair of ultraviolet-induced DNA damage. This article describes clinical presentation, treatment, and nursing management for this severe and chronic disorder.
