We performed percutaneous lithectomy in 180 patients with renal stones. A single stone was present in 92, multiple stones in 23, coral shaped stones in 15 and a bilateral location existed in 3 patients. Access to the pyeloureteral tract was obtained in every patients. Successful removal of the stone was achieved in 97.2% of patients. There were no deaths and only few mild complications. We believe that percutaneous approaches is the technique of choice for removing renal stones.
