Cs4Mo5P2O22: a first Strandberg-type POM with 1D straight chains of polymerized [Mo5P2O23]6- units and moderate second harmonic generation response

Abstract

A noncentrosymmetric chiral Strandberg-type polyoxometalate based material, Cs(4)Mo(5)P(2)O(22), that contains unusual one dimensional chains constructed from [Mo(5)P(2)O(23)](6-) units has been reported. Cs(4)Mo(5)P(2)O(22) shows a moderate SHG response, and is phase-matchable.
