Postpartum coronary artery dissection followed by heart transplantation

Am J Obstet Gynecol. 1990 Aug;163(2):538-9. doi: 10.1016/0002-9378(90)91192-f.

Abstract

A rare case of coronary artery dissection was observed in a 33-year-old woman on the fourth postpartum day. The ischemic syndrome was followed by aneurysmal dilatation of the left ventricle and progressive heart failure that necessitated cardiac transplantation. The patient is alive and well 3 years after the transplantation.
