Mesenteric panniculitis of the mesoappendix

Abstract

A rare case of mesenteric panniculitis mimicking appendicular mass is presented. At laparotomy panniculitis localized in the mesoappendix and concomitant chronic appendicitis were found. A pathogenetical association is suggested by the Authors. The need for careful follow-up is stressed.
