Sex-dependent increase of blood glucose concentration after bilateral pallidal lesion in the rat

Abstract

Blood glucose levels of male and female rats were compared 5 days after bilateral electrolytical pallidal lesion. An increase of blood glucose was found in the males but not in the females.
