Abstract

Anaesthesia was applied to 1,036 patients for diagnostic or therapeutic knee-joint arthroscopy, between 1983 and 1985. Different indications for general and regional anaesthesia, setbacks of spinal anaesthesia, and advantages likely to result from combined use of peridural anaesthesia and peridural analgesia are discussed in some detail.
