Abstract

A case of intramural oesophageal hematoma following endoscopic sclerotherapy is reported. CT showed a spontaneous hyperdense masse without enhancement after intravenous bolus of contrast material which confirmed the diagnosis; it permitted to eliminate another abnormality (e.g. perforation) and to survey the evolution (complete recovery without treatment in about four weeks).
