Charcot-Leyden crystals in pemphigus vegetans

J Cutan Pathol. 1986 Jun;13(3):242-5. doi: 10.1111/j.1600-0560.1986.tb01651.x.

Abstract

In the skin lesion of a patient with pemphigus vegetans, Charcot-Leyden crystals were observed in the eosinophilic abscess cavities of the epidermis. The finding is documented for the first time. In addition, some of the intraepidermal eosinophilic abscess cavities have been shown to be due to accumulation of eosinophils in dilated acrosyringia, but their formation from acantholysis and spongiosis can not be entirely excluded.
