Abstract

In two recent issues of Cell Reports, Kaplan et al.¹ and Merz et al.² identify a distal enhancer region within the OC1 gene and demonstrate its relevance to OC1 expression, pancreatic endocrine differentiation, and diabetes susceptibility.
