New innovations are influencing many parts of our daily life. One of the waves of new technology involves the implementation of new information and communication technologies in the realm of health, which is also often called Smart health. Smart health entails the use of technology that leads to better diagnostic tools, better treatment for patients, and devices that improve the quality of life for anyone and everyone. This chapter explains the concept of Smart health, its impact, and why health, science, digital, information, and media literacy are key in the facilitation of timely, appropriate, and people-centred health services in a complex world.
