This research investigates the potential of electroplating sludge (ESs) as a sustainable and effective photocatalyst for the degradation of ciprofloxacin (CIP) in wastewater. The study demonstrates that ESs, containing photoactive metal oxides, can effectively degrade CIP under ultraviolet light irradiation. This research suggests that ESs offer a cost-effective and environmentally friendly approach to wastewater treatment, promoting a circular economy. The findings contribute to the development of sustainable solutions for a cleaner and safer environment.
