Focal nodular hyperplasia of the liver. The value of liver and biliary scintigraphy for differential diagnosis

Acta Paediatr Scand. 1985 Sep;74(5):828-32. doi: 10.1111/j.1651-2227.1985.tb10044.x.

Abstract

Although benign liver tumors are extremely rare in pediatric patients, this 9-year-old boy had focal nodular hyperplasia in the left lobe of the liver. The diagnosis of hyperplasia was made before laparotomy with the help of various radiological examinations, especially liver and biliary scintigraphy.
