Membrane plasmapheresis technique in rats. Confirmation of antibody rebound

J Immunol Methods. 1985 Nov 28;84(1-2):313-9. doi: 10.1016/0022-1759(85)90438-7.

Abstract

A simple continuous flow method is described that transfers hollow fiber membrane plasmapheresis technology to rats. The technique is applied in an experimental approach that confirms the existence of a distinct overshooting antibody rebound mechanism after plasma exchange. Anti-SRBC antibody levels exceeded the baseline within 48 h and reached their maximum during the first 2 weeks after exchange.
