Effect of fatty acid derivatives on rumen methane and propionate in vitro

Appl Microbiol. 1971 Feb;21(2):365-6. doi: 10.1128/am.21.2.365-366.1971.

Abstract

The effect of several fatty acid derivatives on methane and propionate in the rumen is described. A possible explanation for the observed inverse relationship between methane and propionate is given.
