The use of autogenous vein for nerve grafting

Otolaryngol Head Neck Surg. 1984 Aug;92(4):410-2. doi: 10.1177/019459988409200407.

Abstract

The use of autogenous femoral vein to graft a resected segment of sciatic nerve in 10 rats suggests that autogenous vein can serve as a satisfactory nerve graft conduit. Scar tissue within the vein or distal nerve was minimal.
