Effect of immunization of guinea pigs on in vitro phagocytosis by polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMNL)

Arch Immunol Ther Exp (Warsz). 1980;28(2):215-8.

Abstract

It was found that the in vitro phagocytosis of 32P pulsed Staphylococcus aureus 209 P strain by PMNL of immunized animals is inhibited in the presence of the antigens. The extent of inhibition depends on the antigen used. The release of acid phosphatase from phagocytizing PMNLs decreased in the presence of antigens.
