Rumbrin, a new cytoprotective substance produced by Auxarthron umbrinum. II. Physico-chemical properties and structure determination

J Antibiot (Tokyo). 1993 Jun;46(6):888-91. doi: 10.7164/antibiotics.46.888.

Abstract

The structure of rumbrin (Fig. 1), a new cytoprotective substance, was elucidated by NMR spectral analysis. Rumbrin was found to possess a novel skeleton containing alpha-pyrone, tetraene and pyrrole moieties.
