Purpose: To describe two cases of zone III retinopathy of prematurity associated with macular folds and poor vision.
Method: Case reports.
Results: Two premature infants with zone III retinopathy of prematurity developed clinically notable elevation of the neovascular ridge with macular folds and poor vision.
Conclusions: Retinopathy of prematurity in zone III may lead to compromised anatomic and functional outcomes. Notable elevation of the neovascular ridge may be an important risk factor for an adverse outcome.
