Dr. Paraskevi C. Fragkou is an Internal Medicine Consultant in the 1st Department of Critical Care Medicine & Pulmonary Services, Evangelismos General Hospital, and an Academic Fellow of the 4th Department of Internal Medicine, Attikon University Hospital, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She received her Master’s degree at the University of Edinburgh in 2015 and completed her PhD studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2021, supported by a scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation of Greece (IKY). She completed her specialty training in Internal Medicine in the UK (Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust & Elderly Care Department and Medical Assessment Unit, Croydon University Hospital, Croydon Health Services NHS Trust) and in Athens (4th Department of Internal Medicine, Attikon University Hospital, Athens Medical School, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens). Between 2013 and 2014, she was appointed as a research fellow at the Center for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics, William Harvey Research Institute, Queen Mary University of London. She is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP UK) and she is a certified Advanced Life Support (ALS) Instructor by the European Resuscitation Council. Her current research focuses on viral infections and immunopathogenesis of viral disease.
