Prof. Zhonghua Tang currently serves as a professor, doctoral supervisor, and deputy dean of the School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Resource Utilization at the Northeast Forestry University, Harbin, China. He is also the executive director of the China Wild Plant Conservation Association and vice chairman of the Heilongjiang Botanical Society. He has hosted several National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Projects. He has won one second-class National Science and Technology Progress Award (2004) and two second-class National University Technology Invention Awards from the Ministry of Education. He has published more than 100 academic papers as the first author or corresponding author, 60 of which were included in SCI. His research areas mainly include the protection and utilization of plant resources, and he carries out basic research on the metabolic regulation mechanism of plant resource components based on multi-omics, as well as research on the cultivation, utilization, and application of medicinal plants.
