FELIPE JIMENEZ obtained his M.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), his M.S. degree in physical science from the National University of Distance Education of Spain and his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the UPM in 2001, 2005 and 2006, respectively. Currently, he is Full Professor at the UPM and Research Deputy Director and Head of the Intelligent Systems Unit of the University Institute for Automobile Research (INSIA). He has been involved in several research projects and has developed engineering studies for relevant national firms. His fields of interest are the automotive industry, vehicle safety, mechanical design, driver assistance systems, and intelligent transport systems. He is the author of several papers in relevant scientific journals and has participated in several national and international congresses.
