Ieda DelArco Sanches studied Agronomical Engineering in the Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiróz - ESALQ/USP, Piracicaba, Brazil, where she graduated in 1999. In 2004, she obtained a Master degree in Remote Sensing from the Brazilian National Institute for Space Research (INPE), in São José dos Campos, Brazil. In 2005 she started her PhD studies at the New Zealand Centre for Precision Agriculture (NZCPA), Massey University, New Zealand, where she obtained in 2009 the PhD degree in Earth Science. In 2010 she was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation - Embrapa Satellite Monitoring, Campinas, Brazil. From 2011 to early 2014 she did a Postdoctoral in the Geoscience Institute (IG) of The University of Campinas, Campinas, Brazil. Since April 2014 she has been working as a Researcher at the Earth Science Coordination (CGCT), National Institute for Space Research (INPE), São José dos Campos, Brazil. She is permanent Lecturer of the Remote Sensing Post Graduation Course at INPE (PGSER) (since 2015). She was the Head of the Post-graduation Division between September 2020 - May 2023 and she was PGSER Coordinator between July 2017 - July 2021. She has experience in Remote Sensing, working mainly on the following topics: agricultural remote sensing, land use and land cover change and hyperspectral remote sensing.
