Camelia Ungureanu has been an associate professor at the the Faculty of Applied Chemistry and Materials Science, University Politehnica of Bucharest since 2014. She pursued her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Politehnica University of Bucharest, from 2005 to 2008. She is a member of the International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (IACSIT) (from 2011), the Romanian Chemical Society, the European Association for Chemical and Molecular Sciences (from 2009), the Romanian Society for Chemical Engineering, the European Federation of Chemical Engineering (from 2007), the Romanian Society of Bioengineering and Biotechnology, and the European Federation of Biotechnology (EFB) (from 2005). Her research interests include food-derived peptides, glucosidases, amino acids, chronic disease, pectin, and bioperformance.
