Neurosurgeries under govt scheme
Ajmer: Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College here is now conducting neurosurgery operations at subsidised costs under a govt scheme, saving patients lakhs of rupees that they otherwise would have to spend at private hospitals. In the last 10 days, the neurosurgery department has successfully performed two such operations.
The first operation involved minimally invasive pedicle screw fixation, where a patient who had slipped and fractured backbone was admitted to JLN hospital on May 27.

The team of doctors without making any incisions successfully fixed four screws in the backbone.
On May 30, another patient was admitted with a lump in the brain. On June 1, doctors successfully removed the lump. tnn
