Plans afoot to set up CCTVs in MIDC areas
Kolhapur: The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has submitted a proposal to install CCTV cameras at key locations in Shiroli and Gokul Shirgaon MIDCs to enhance security.
The move follows growing cases of robberies in the MIDC areas. Surendra Jain, president of the Shiroli Manufacturers’ Association, Kolhapur, said, “MIDC officials have apprised us about the plan to install CCTV cameras with a public address system in the MIDC area.”
Jain said industries operating out of the MIDC areas were requested to set up CCTV systems on their premises.
