Nurse mutilates doctor's private parts, escapes rape bid

PATNA: A doctor and his two staff members were arrested on Thursday for allegedly attempting to rape a nurse at a private clinic in Samastipur, Bihar. The nurse fought back and escaped after mutilating the doctor's private parts with a blade.
"The incident took place at a physiotherapy clinic. The doctor and his two accomplices were under the influence of liquor.They tried to overpower the nurse, but she defended herself. In a moment of fear, she used a blade, locked the clinic from outside and fled. She later contacted police," said Sanjay Kumar Pandey, Sadar SDPO-1. The nurse was working at the clinic alone after patient hours when the accused turned off the CCTV cameras and attempted rape.
The doctor is undergoing treatment in police custody. All three suspects are being interrogated, Pandey said.
