Kerala Blasters sign Jesus Jimenez, Argentinian striker too on radar

Kerala Blasters signed Jesus Jimenez Nunez from OFI Crete. Formerly with Atletico Madrid youth, he played in Spain, Poland, and MLS before injuries affected his stint in Greece. Additionally, young Argentine forward Felipe Pasadore is reportedly set to join Blasters after an excellent season in Bolivia, becoming the top scorer.

KOCHI: Kerala Blasters have secured the services of Jesus Jimenez Nunez on a permanent deal from Greek club OFI Crete.
A former Atletico Madrid youth team striker, Jiménez started his professional journey in the Spanish third division with CF Talavera in 2017-18, where he scored an impressive 12 goals in 37 appearances. His standout performances caught the attention of Górnik Zabrze, a club in Poland’s top-flight Ekstraklasa.

He played 134 matches for Zabrze, scoring 43 goals and providing 25 assists. His final season with the Polish club was in 2021-22, during which he made 21 appearances.
Following his stint at Górnik Zabrze, Jimenez moved to Major League Soccer (MLS) and played for both Toronto FC and FC Dallas.
He subsequently returned to Europe, signing with OFI Crete FC, but his time in Greece was marred by injuries. If he remains injury free, Jimenez has the potential to make a significant impact at Blasters.
Meanwhile, Felipe Pasadore, a young Argentine talent, is reportedly close to finalizing a deal with Blasters. The 24-year-old forward enjoyed a stellar season last year, netting 12 goals for San Antonio Bulo Bulo, making him the top-scorer in Bolivia’s premier division.
Pasadore spent two seasons with San Antonio, scoring 24 goals in 37 appearances before opting not to extend his contract at the end of the previous season. Currently unattached to any club, Pasadore has been on the Blasters' radar for some time.
